Hi, I’m Rachelle! (like Raquel)

I’m an artist and educator based in California, passionate about helping kids and adults discover their creative superpowers. As the founder of TinkerLab, I’ve dedicated my career to empowering parents and educators to foster creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning in children.

My journey to art education has been full of creative twists! I started my career as a film and television costumer, then found my way to classroom and museum education.I see kids as brilliant creators and innovative thinkers. My role is to create inviting spaces that spark their natural curiosity and imagination.

I’ve been sharing part of my creative journey through TinkerLab, which has blossomed into a worldwide community of families making art together. Through my books – including “TinkerLab: A Hands-On Guide for Little Inventors” and “TinkerLab Art Starts,” – along with online courses and community programs, I’m connecting with hundreds of thousands of families who believe in the power of creative play.

My mission is to make art-making accessible and joyful for everyone. Because we’re all born to create – sometimes we just need the right invitation to begin.
